Privacy Policy

This Privacy (“Policy”) applies to the securing and processing of personal data by Travel Line (India). Ltd (hereinafter “Travel Line” in connection with personal data provided by any person (“User”) who has purchased or intends to purchase or inquiries about any product(s) or service(s) made by TRAVEL LINE through any of TRAVEL LINE’s interface channels including website, mobile site (collectively referred herein as “Sales Channels”).

For the purpose of Privacy Policy:

References in this policy to “you” or “your” are references to ‘User’ References to “we”, “us” or “our” are references to ‘Travel Line’ When you take part in surveys or provide us with feedback References to “website” mean a reference to ‘website(s)’, ‘mobile site(s).

Purpose of the policy

We recognise that you want to know how and why data is collected, utilised, disclosed, transferred, and preserved. As a result, we've created this Policy to help you understand our procedures. In accordance with current data protection legislation, this policy outlines how we process your information when you use our Website or other digital platforms. It is critical that you read this policy, as well as any other policies we may give on specific occasions when we collect or handle your personal data, to ensure that you understand how and why we use your personal data. This policy is meant to enhance the other notices, not to replace them.

Defining controller of personal data

A "Controller" is a person or organisation that determines, alone or jointly, the purposes for which and how any personal data is, or is likely to be, processed. In its capacity as controller, Travel Line is issuing this notice.

A Processor is a natural or legal person, government agency, or other entity that processes personal data on behalf of the Controller. Travel Line may be the Controller or Processor of your personal data depending on the circumstances.

Types of Personal Data we Collect

Any information about a user that can be used to identify that individual is considered personal data. It excludes personal information from which the identity has been deleted (anonymous data).

When you contact TRAVEL LINE directly or indirectly through a third party, you may be asked for personal information.

For any reason, we gather, use, and distribute aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data. Aggregated data can be derived from your personal data, but it is not deemed personal data under the law because it does not expose your identity directly or indirectly. We may, for example, aggregate your Usage Data to determine the percentage of people that utilise a certain website feature. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your personal data in such a way that the combined data can be used to directly or indirectly identify you, we recognise the combined data as personal data and handle it in line with this policy.

Through our Website, we do not gather any particular categories of personal data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). We also don't gather data on criminal convictions and offences.

Different types of personal data about you are collected, used, stored, and transferred by us.

The following categories of personal data have been grouped together to explain how we use this type of information.

In this situation, you must affirm and represent that each of the other traveller(s) for whom a booking has been made has given their consent for the information submitted by you to be revealed to us and then shared by us with the respective service provider (s). Your marketing and communication preferences are included in your "Marketing and Communications Data." We also keep track of when you get and read our marketing messages, which we use to improve our marketing services, deliver more relevant information to you, and improve the quality of our marketing materials. The marketing communications we send you contain further information about the personal data we process in conjunction with marketing.

  • "Data from the public domain or from a third party": Data available in the public domain or received from any third party, including social media channels, as part of your account information, including but not limited to personal or non-personal information from your linked social media channels (like name, email address, friend list, profile pictures, or any other information permitted by your account settings).

  • "Profile Data" refers to information gathered over time when you visit our site, such as your referral website, pages you visit, actions you do, page visit trends, and information from forms you fill out.

  • "Technical Data" includes your IP address, login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you are using when you access our website, mobile site; and

  • "Usage Data" includes information about how you use our website.

  • "Any additional Personal Data": If you ask TRAVEL LINE to help you with a visa application, we'll need copies of your passport, bank statements, originals of filled-in application forms, photographs, and any other information the relevant embassy requires to process your visa application.

Modes of Collecting Personal Data

Only if you choose to send us your personal data in the following circumstances will we receive it:

(a) Direct communication:

When you contact us by email, letter, fax, phone, or in person to get a quote, make a reservation, or purchase something from our 'Website' or through our customer service team (via email, letter, fax, phone, or in person). When you join with us, subscribe to our newsletter, enter lucky draws/competitions/surveys/feedback, send us questions, or register for promotions, you are providing us with your personal information. When you participate in any online or offline event, promotion, page, or location hosted by us on a third-party platform.

Grounds for processing of Data

While making a reservation:

  • We may utilise the Personal Information you have provided to speed up the booking process. This information could include all of the information you supplied previously, such as your contact information. We may also use information from your traveler's list that is stored in or linked to your account. This information is provided to the User at the time of booking in order for you to complete your bookings as quickly as possible.

 

Your Personal Information may also be used for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

 

  • send booking confirmations through SMS, WhatsApp, or any other messaging service to keep you up to date on transaction status

  • send any modifications or updates to your reservation (s)

  • Allow our customer service representatives to contact you and, if necessary, confirm your reservations with the appropriate service providers.

  • alter our website's content, mobile site requests for product or service reviews, or any other modifications

  • send message(s) or email(s) of verification (s)

  • validate/authenticate your account and contact you on your birthday/anniversary to offer a special gift or offer to avoid any misuse or abuse

  • We may share personal information with companies that provide services such as data processing, credit extension, order fulfilment, product delivery, data management and enhancement, customer service, determining your interest in our products and services, and conducting customer research or satisfaction surveys. These businesses are bound to keep your information safe.

Your personal information may be used for marketing purposes, research, and other projects.

  • You will receive our newest product and service announcements, offers, promotions, and event updates as a registered user. You have the option to unsubscribe at any time.

  • We may also use your personal information to improve our product offering, create and distribute products, services, content, and advertising.

  • Internally, personal data may be utilised for research, analysis, and auditing.

  • TRAVEL LINE may run campaigns from time to time to provide its users the chance to win fantastic travel and travel-related prizes.

  • We may collect personal information such as contact information and survey questions during such activities. We'll use this information to contact contest winners, as well as survey data to generate promotions and enhance our products.

TRAVEL LINE may from time to time offer travel referral or reward programmes in which users can earn travel-related or other benefits. Your personal information may be used to enrol you in the rewards programme. Each time you win a prize, TRAVEL LINE may share your personal information with a third party who will be responsible for delivering the prize to you, depending on the reward programme. If you so desire, you may choose to opt out of such a reward programme. While rewarding any user, we may occasionally verify customer information on a selective basis for various reasons such as fraud protection or any other reason.

This right only applies to personal data that you have provided to us (for example by completing a form or providing information through a Website). You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one calendar month. Occasionally it may take us longer than one calendar month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
